Planet Hollywood Review:

A room entirely devoted to the guy that played Rocky Balboa?

Hey, this is Hollywood, Planet Hollywood, where things like this can happen. Planet Hollywood Restaurant in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace features memorabilia from your favorite movies. In fact, the restaurant is as much a movie museum as it is a food service venue. Walk by Rocky’s outfit, props from scary movies and scenic murals from your favorite films.

Flat screen televisions give you sneak-peeks at upcoming movies while in the interim, loud music blasts from the speakers. The décor is modern and decked out with different movie genre-themes. For example, the classic Hollywood room and the sci-fi room are popular places to sit.

Planet Hollywood is a great place to go for happy hour, post-shopping hunger pains, and pre or post-club munchies. The classic bar food and American fare mixed with popular music and colorful décor rejuvenates you for the rest of your evening’s festivities. The casual, jeans and T-shirt style make everyone feel welcome.

The restaurant features a variety of food options that cater to the simplest eater with options like hamburgers, Buffalo wings and potato skins. Skewered Buffalo tenders and the parmesan spinach dip are good starters to share, and the world famous chicken crunch is a chicken strip coated in Cap 'n Crunch cereal for a sweet, crunchy coating. These fun dishes make the restaurant kid-friendly.

For the more mature adult in you, there are options like classic ribeye steak, fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs, New York strip steak, grilled salmon and blackened mahi-mahi.

Salad options include a Cobb salad, chicken or shrimp Caesar, and the chicken wedge salad. Pizzas include a classic margherita and BBQ chicken pizza. Pastas like penne, chicken and broccoli, shrimp alfredo and homemade manicotti are sure to please the pasta lover.

The bar features cocktails named after movies like "The Terminator," "The Scorpion King," "Interview with A Vampire" and "A Clockwork Orange." The restaurant also features frozen alcoholic beverages, smoothies (The Miami Mango is fabulous) and hand-dipped milkshakes.

The double chocolate brownie and the white chocolate bread pudding serve as good dessert options, certainly big enough to share.

Planet Hollywood is a nice place to dine should you be in the Forum Shops. There is also a souvenir shop so you can take a piece of your favorite movie home with you.
